moving to Walla Walla
Does anyone have any recommendations for apartments/houses for rent that allow pets in Walla Walla or College Place? Our budget is about $800-$1000 and we'd like 2-3 bedrooms. TIA

Hello there!
I just met a professor from Walla Walla University, and investigated the school online a bit, and want more information. What is Walla Walla like??

I don't know...I'm not REALLY the poster child for the university but the professor is awesome, and I figure I could do well for 2 years at a highly religious school.

It's pretty strict. No cursing, drinking, going to clubs, being sexually immoral (anything against the bible which includes being gay but that is not EXPLICITLY written, though implied by saying any sexual activity against biblical records...), no heavy PDA etc. Everything is fine for me except the gay thing... but tat's fine with me since I'm pretty much abstinent, and asexual aside from crushes (which are mainly on other women). But, 2 years of full focus on education and all the other social things I woud prefer (distaste of pda, cursing, etc) seems like a cool idea. And I'd love the challenge.

Soooo, lol, I suppose this means I really don't care about what is available in town...since everything is prohibited (most towns however small have the basic needs,so everything else is unneccesary).

But...well, how is ethnic diversity? Are there places outside of the campus where I could be a closet gay?
Just wondering...

-edit, this is for a science graduate program fall 2009 or fall 2010

Hello!
Hey, Walla Walla is the place to be.

So what about, uh, all those colleges we have? Yeah, we have several.

And lots of onions and wine and stuff too.

Overhead Projector?
I'm looking to buy a overhead projector, the type you often find in schools. It needs to be working, and it should contain all its - working - parts. It will be used to benefit my education. If anybody has one whey would like to sell cheaply - or even better just donate - please let me know! I will take any number fo these off your hands you do not want/need, and I figure you giving them to me would be cheaper then you paying for them to be thrown out anyway.

Thanks!

Recycling bin?
Does anybody know of a place you can just dump your assorted recyclable into bins around town and forget about them, secure in the knowledge that they will get recycled and not wasted by being thrown out into the dump?

If anybody knows of such a place, or is just willing to take the aluminum cans, glass bottles, and cardboard boxes I have here inreturn for beign able to recycle them yourself, please say so. I really want to get rid of it all but I feel bad about just throwing it away. I stock up on soda on a regular basis too so I have allot of cans in my future anyway.

Thanks!
